US Men Olympics The US was in Group B along with the Netherlands, Japan and Nigeria. The US defeated Japan in its opener. Then they almost pulled off a major upset against the two time Under 21 European champion Netherlands but were drawn with a 93rd minute goal. It came down to the final group match vs Nigeria, but after going down a man in the 4th minute, they weren't able to recover and lost 2-1, dashing their hopes for advancement.
