Euro 2008 Final: West Valley Viewing Party
Sunday June 29th By now we all know about the events of Sunday June 29. The disaster perpetrated by our local ABC affiliate dampened a lot of spirits valleywide. However, the West Valley members mangaged to locate an alternate establishment with a Cox connection and were able to enjoy the game. |

FMF-MLS: Chivas de Guadalajara vs NY Red Bull
Wednesday June 25th Around 50 MLS Phoenix Rising members were in attendance as the New York Red Bull defeated Club Deportivo de Guadalajara 1-0 in a hard fought exhibition match at University of Phoenix Stadium. |

MLS - US World Cup Qualifier Two Game Weekend Roadtrip
Saturday June 14th - Sunday June 15th MLSPR members were on hand to see Real Salt Lake defeat last year's Western Division champion Chivas USA 1-0. Then on Sunday, they witnessed the goalfest that was the US Men's National team destruction of Barbados 8-0 in its opening 2010 World Cup qualifier. |

US World Cup Qualifier/Euro 2008 West Valley Viewing Party
Sunday June 15th Valley soccer fans watched the US Men open their bid for 2010 World Cup Qualification and a final group match of the 2008 European Championship! The U.S. Men exploded in their first leg victory over Barbados 8-0. This event took take place at Buffalo Wings and Rings, located on the northeast corner of Dysart Rd and Thomas Rd. |

US Open - AZ Sahuaros v Seattle Sounders
June 10, 2008 MLSPR members turned out to watch the Sahuaros come close to upsetting the Sounders. After playing Seattle to a draw for 118 minutes, a last minute goal in the 2nd extra time period sent the Sounders on to the 2nd round of the US Open Cup. |

Sunday June 8th MLS Phoenix Rising members watched this match at Churchill's Pub and Grill, 2050 N. Alma School Road, Suite 8, (NW corner of Alma School and Warner) Chandler, AZ 85224. USMNT Roadtrip - USA v Sweden
January 19th, 2008 Around 30 people from the Valley and Tucson were in LA to witness history as the US Men's National team(20) defeated Sweden, currently ranked 22nd, 2-0 in their first match of 2008. The match marked the 500th game for US Men's soccer and Landon Donovan became the all-time leading men's scorer when he converted a penalty kick. Sweden was using the match as a tuneup for the upcoming EURO2008, the 2nd most important international event for Euro countries.
Landon Donovan's penalty kick heads goalward, making him the all-time leading men's scorer.

November 18th MLS Phoenix Rising members met on November 18th at R.T. O'Sullivan's in Mesa to watch the Houston Dynamo defeat New England 2-1 to capture its 2nd consecutive MLS Cup victory. The East Valley Chapter of MLSPR also held its meeting at half time. |

CHIVAS USA VS. D.C. UNITED ROAD TRIP - Sept 6
A grand time was had by those of us that attended the game at the Home Depot Center. We were well received by the Chivas staff and their fans. In the words of Desert Eagle in the Phoenix section of Big Soccer ... I just returned from LA and the roadtrip ... We were noticed by all who were there. The Chivas fans were welcoming, friendly and actually cheered for us. They noticed our signs and our gold shirts drew a lot of attention. We sat with the DC supporters and they were also very supportive and encouraged our group. Personally and professionally the Chivas USA staff was top shelf. Special mention to Dina Fuentes who handled the ticket purchases for our group. |

2007 COPA PANAMERICANA TOURNAMENT
International soccer was played at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, featuring some of the finest club teams from Central and South America. MLSPR volunteers manned tables pregame and at halftime and signed up many new members. MLS Phoenix Rising secured Group Tickets for the following dates: Friday, July 20th - Deportivo Cali vs. Caracas F.C. & Club America vs. Boca Juniors Sunday, July 22nd - Championship Match - Cruz Azul from Mexico vs. Boca Juniors of the Argentine League |
