VISION
VISION: To create a grassroots based fan group from the local soccer community intended to bring Phoenix area soccer fans together for a common goal - To bring MLS soccer to the Valley of the Sun! GOAL: To coordinate efforts through a strong grassroots fan based group that is well organized and funded whose sole purpose is to demonstrate the spectator and fiscal desire for an MLS team in Phoenix to any potential investor. ACTION: To coordinate local soccer fans, merchants, and business owners who are committed to supporting an MLS franchise in Phoenix through season tickets and corporate sponsorships. MEMBERSHIP: To have 50 active members by April 28, 2007 with growth to 100 active members by June 30, 2007. UPDATE: As of June 11, 2007 this goal has been exceeded. LEADERSHIP: To have an official Board of Directors by August 30, 2007. To have a list of bylaws presented, voted upon, and implemented by the Board of Directors by September 30, 2007. UPDATE: MLS Phoenix Rising, Inc., was incorporated as an Arizona nonprofit corporation with an initial Board of Directors on August 14, 2007. UPDATE: MLS Phoenix Rising, Inc., bylaws were presented, voted upon, and implemented by the Board of Directors on October 9, 2007. |
